The Believer’s Prayer

Believing is a form of petition to, and expectation of God, the Father, concerning a promise that has yet been fulfilled or brought to its maturity. Jesus tells us, that when we pray, believe or expect positive results from the prayer.

Mark 11:24 (KJV)Therefore I (Jesus) say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

If you believe that God is faithful, and that His Word and Promise is yours, then when you go to Him in prayer, give thanks! even if its in advance. Thanksgiving is a sign that a petition has been granted or a word or promise has been received. If you believe, your prayer should be led as one who has already received – giving thanks – the fruit of your actions, words, and thinking all in agreement, as if the expected work has already come to pass.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that the readers of this post are strengthened in their faith and encouraged to come to You in prayer with thanksgiving. I thank you for granting them the petitions of their heart that stem from a godly confidence and believe, Lord, that You are faithful to those who believe.
In Jesus’s name, Amen.”

Philippians 4:6 (KJV)Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
