Ephesians 6:16 NKJV “Above all, taking the shield of faith, by which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”
The Amplified version for the same scripture says “Lift up over all the covering shield of saving Faith.”
The believer’s shield is the faith that he or she has in Jesus. The shield is put to use as one lifts up the Lordship of Christ over his or her life.
Galatians 2:20 NKJV “..the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”
Romans 1:17 “..The just shall live by faith.”
Faith is a professed belief in the Lordship of Christ over one’s life – receiving, as a beneficiary and heir, the provisions of God; rendered to His children through the Life and finished work of Jesus. Believing that Jesus was and is who He said He is. {the Son of God}. I confess that Jesus, the Son of God, is the Lord of my life. Faith is knowing your life is the Lord’s. Lift up your shield of faith by acknowledging and confessing Christ’s Lordship over your life.
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.“
