Once a person has accepted Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior, II Corinthians 5:17 says, “he/she is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” That means, no more of the old person, no more of the old sinful life, which was defined by inadequacy, failure, and separation from God; but a new identity, a new life, with righteousness and acceptance in the sight of the Father!
God no longer sees that person for who they were, but for who they have become in Christ; He sees the finished work of His Dear Son – Jesus’s successful offering and glorious sacrifice! You who have believed on the Lord Jesus are not defined by the past, but by your destiny (God’s plan and purpose for your life – in Christ)!
The Father has given unique Grace and invested special gifts in the lives of believers – Ephesians 4:7 says “according to the measure of the gift of Christ“. This means, God saw fit to make an investment.
If you were to make an investment in something, wouldn’t whatever you were investing in have to carry some form of value, or be special in some way? It is the same way with God. There is a glorious purpose to be met (a special return on investment to be realized) by God, through YOUR life!
Today, see yourself the way God does – a unique investment! If you are finding it a challenge to walk in Godly character, or are even facing troubles with confidence and/or self-esteem issues, the best way to overcome is to realize your true identity and worth according to your Maker. Redefine yourself in God’s Word, and Glorify Him as a new creation, as His creation!
Psalms 139:14 KJV “I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works; and that my soul knows greatly well.“
