God’s Word is Medicine: Anointing

Anoint: to apply oil or ointment; to dedicate to the service of God

Revelation 3:18-19
I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you me be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that you may see.

Isaiah 61:1-3; Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

The Anointing of the Lord serves a purpose. Christ means “Anointed One”. The Word of God is the solution (prescription) for every ailment of sin’s affliction. The Lord’s Spirit in us joins / connects us to Him and allows us to share in His Anointing. We are anointed vessels!

II Corinthians 1:21-22
Now He which stablishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God; Who has also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Whatever issue you may be facing, whatever ailment or infirmity you may be suffering, address it with the Anointing. The Anointing destroys the yoke (Isaiah 10:27).
