I Corinthians 13:8 (KJV)
“Love never fails.”

We are each uniquely endowed by God’s Grace, holding gifts and abilities that are to be used for the strengthening of the body of Christ, and to the Glory of God, the Father.
I Corinthians 12:4-6 tells us that there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. Diversities of activities, but the same God who works all things in.

Now, consider Love. It is the gift that each and every believer possesses the ability to exercise. It is described in I Cor. 12:31 as “the more excellent way” – the gift that is better by far and the highest of them all. It is also the essential gift by which every other gift should be put to use (I Cor. 13:1-3).

Why is Love so great?
Well, because God is Love (I John 4:8). Love is why our Lord and Saviour Jesus came into the world (John 3:16). Love is what was displayed through His life and ministry; it is the standard that was set to which each and every one of His followers are to aspire (John 13:15, 34-35). My Lord!

In understanding of the importance Love, the obvious question is – how can I grow in my Love walk?
In John 15:13, Jesus says, “Greater Love has no man than this, than a man lay down his life for his friends.“
Friends, the highest example of the gift of Love was demonstrated through Jesus Christ as He laid down His life for us. To grow in Love, look to Jesus, our great example. Allow His Spirit to direct you (Romans 5:5) – God will give you an earnest desire and opportunities to meet needs in the lives of others. As you respond to the inward leading of the Holy Spirit, you will grow in Love. As you continue to acknowledge the Love of God in your heart, there will be more and more opportunities to express that Love. The exciting part about growing in Love, is that God’s Love is endless. With the Love of God shed abroad in our heart, we experience a never-ending journey of fellowship with the God of all Grace, Who’s Love is precious. So I encourage you today..
