The substance of your faith (what you are believing for – Heb. 11:1) determines the works of your faith (what you give action to). If what you are giving action to is not producing desired results in your life, examine your faith and what you are believing, to see if it is consistent with God’s good and acceptable and perfect will for your life.
The Word of God is His will, and those who do the word and live by it will see His glory in their lives – James 1:22, 25. The Word of God never fails, so if something is not lining up right, get a “Check-Up”. II Corinthians 13:5 says “Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove yourselves” – meaning, prove yourselves by Christ, by the Word of God.
Make sure that the works of your life are birthed out of a genuine faith PRODUCED BY THE WORD OF GOD. Romans 10:17 says “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” – Hearing God’s Word is what produces faith; if its not His Word, its not His will, and it is not faith! Believing or trusting in anything except the Word is deception.
“Beloved, do not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test, examine, check) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God.”
I John 4:1 (AMPC)
The Word of God is your life!
The only cure for wrong believing is the Word of God. Don’t trust the works of your life, because the nature of the works can be misleading. What you do does not make you who you are. Trust God who Authors and Finishes both your faith and the work.
