Choose Faith.

Now is not the time to get discouraged and lose motivation! For believers, there is too much at stake for us to lose confidence in our lifestyle of faith. Psalms 34:19 (NKJV) says “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

God is Faithful, and just as the Word says, He will deliver the righteous out of ALL their afflictions! II Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV) says “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a for more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

The challenges that you are facing and the resistance to your faith that you are experiencing (your afflictions) are working for you a glory that far more surpasses and outweighs them all. The things that we see (the seen) may be different from the things that we are in faith for (the unseen), but our faith has to be more of a reality to us than what we see. Our faith lays hold of the eternal. Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) says “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” I John 5:4 says that our faith is the victory that has overcome the world. When we start to lose faith by looking at the way things are and focusing on our afflictions, we start to lose the victory.

Romans 1:17 (NKJV) says “The just shall live by faith.” That means, faith is a lifestyle! Everyday, there are opportunities in the life of believers to either choose faith, or to go by what is seen. Today, the Lord is encouraging you to not lose hold of the victory of faith. Actually, the Spirit of God is saying that you have power, by faith, to change the things that are seen. Don’t just settle for your afflictions and what you see, put your faith into action to see God’s deliverance and the things that you have hoped for!

God is Faithful! and what He has promised, He will do. Open yourself up to His Word and Spirit to increase your faith in areas where you feel challenged and afflicted. Faith is the way that we receive from God. Hebrews 11:6 (AMP) says “But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” By developing our faith through reading the Word of God and prayer, we gain a greater confidence in eternal things that God has promised. Things that we do not currently see, we will begin to see if we continue living by faith.

I pray this message is an encouragement in your faith. God Rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.
