What year is it? – 2018, of course.. and soon it will be 2019.
In this Christmas season when the birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated, consider the mark that it has left in time. The birth of Christ is such a distinguished event in time, that it stands as the mark of transition between two time periods referred to as “B.C” and “A.D”. The year Christ was born is marked 1 A.D.; the year before it is marked 1 B.C.
Throughout worldwide historical records, years marked “B.C.” refer to the time “Before Christ” (before His birth). Years marked “A.D.” refer to the time after He was born – “Anno Domini”, which is Latin for “In the year of the Lord.” The current year, A.D. 2018, represents the number of years that have passed since the birth of Christ.
Now, while some people have not yet come to believe on the Lord Jesus, consider that the mark of His birth is so significant, that the very record of the time that we keep worldwide today is based on it! Someone may ask, “was Jesus really a person? Did He live in the earth?” – the answer is boldly, YES! and there are historical records to prove it, including the global historical record of time!!
Throughout the years, there have been so many people that have taken the birth of Christ lightly and counted His life to be of no significance, but the birth of Christ is literally a mark in time! His birth was a miracle virgin birth, and it marked the fulfillment of a prophecy and promise of the One True God to send a Savior and Deliverer to His people.

The simple fact is that, Jesus came! In Luke 4:19, Jesus Himself said that He came “to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” His birth is the proof that God’s salvation has come – He is Salvation! Today, through Christ, God’s free offer of salvation is extended to every man, woman, and child! God has even ordered the records of time as a sign to testify of His Son and salvation! In this season where the birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated, let the time be evidence to you –
